The Message reads I/O Device Error 1:1:0 philips dvd+rw-01 1.90 (E:) (ATA)
scsi status 0x02
interpretation: check condition
cdb: 28 00 00 19 a0 a6 00 00 01 00
(posting error)(0x15, 0x82)
Then gives me the option of abort retry ignore
retry just keeps bring the same eoor baxk and ignore creates a new one. and suggestion?

Is this while copying the original to your hard drive or when recording to blank media?

I get that error when reading sometimes if the disc is badly scratched or dirty.
An I/O error that is.

I've tried several disk and have cleand and de scratched them and it still does it but thanks for the input.

well it seems you now have an error that can be searched for in the forums; also, pls have a search in the dvd decryptor official forum (or a google search); it may give you a few more pointers which in turn can enable the guys here to help you more. (I would but dvd decryptor never plays me up yet (touch wood) hence i haven't needed to interpret it's error messages

An I/O Error is my way of displaying a problem your drive had with the disc or your system config (mainly a disc problem though).
Unrecovered read errors, Seek errors, Servo errors, Focusing errors, ECC errors, CIRC Unrecovered errors etc. are all your drives way of saying "I don't like this disc".
Clean the disc, update your drives firmware (http://www.rpc1.org), try it in another drive, get another copy.
END OF STORY!
Note: If you're burning a disc in ISO Write mode and get an error, it's pointless trying another disc from the same pack / spindle. You need to find some different discs, with a different dye type and try those instead.
