my dvd player will play some dvds but this one i recently boguht will not play, the drive cannot even see that there is a disk on the d drive, is there anyone i can play it?

its a muti region dvd and yes it is on the right side, its not the player because some cds and dvds will play, just not this one

May I ask the obvious here?

Is this an original store bought copy?

If not it is possible the media you are trying to read is just not compatable with your DVD player.

If it is store bought take it back and tell them it wont's play and get another one.

good point bbmayo... the amount of ppl i know who go to a local sunday market and buy really low quality divx conversions and 1/2 of them dont work!
