Do I have to patch if I am backing up w/decrypt???

I have tried several times to burn PS2 games using decrypt and having not one success. Do you have to have somthing to patch with? This is the method I have been trying and it didn't work:

1. Start DVD Decrypter
2. Select Mode, go down to ISO Read
3. Select your Reader & Destination
4. ?Decrypt? the ISO Image to the Hard Drive
5. Wait for the ISO Image to be made
6. Select Mode, go down to ISO Write
7. Select the ISO Image file you made, click ?Open?
8. Select your Burner, Write speed & Burn the ISO

I read somthing about patching on another post and couldn't find any really good info on it. I have had a problem because two or three folders are created when I read the disc. I can only pick one file and it is never readable by my PS2. I have used three types of media; TDK, prodisc, and K something or other using an Aopen 16X burner and nothing. Any one have any idea what I am doing wrong? Thanks for any help.

do you have some type of modification to your PS2?

haha, that is a great question that DBZB126 asked, I hope you atleast have something. To answer your question about patching, no, you do not need to patch ps2 games unless you are wanted to go online with tnem.
