I'm after an app (free or trial version preferably) for converting VCD to AVI or any other suitable online video format.

Any Ideas?

TIA

VCD is allready in a Suitable On Line Format which is Mpeg-1 which is Probably the Most Widely Compatible format because it can be Natively Played on Most Windows and Apple/Mac Based systems..Pluss VCD is allready Pretty low Quality so Encodeing to another Format will just make it Look Worse....

Cheers,

I need to recompress the files anyway so I'm trying to get hold of the originals.

Is a .DAT file really a suitable format to link to from a site?

The DAT file is actually a Mpeg file so you Can simply rename the ".dat" extention to ".mpg" but it is actually better to use something like VCDGear or ISO Buster to extract the Mpeg-1 files from the VCD"s because then the RFF header will be Filtered out....
