Infinity supposedly supports DVD9.
As for burning DVD9, many of the DVD Burners on the market, especially NEC ones, can be flashed with hacked firmware to allow dual layer burning.
I have one that out of the box can burn 4X DVDR/RW +/-, but when flashed can burn 8X and dual layer.
It cost me about $50 after rebates. It paid for itself within about 2 weeks.
I've never tried it myself via PS2 (DVD9 media), however to answer the other guy's question, it's definitely possible to squish DVD9 into DVD5...look at the Halo 2 and Ninja Gaiden releases for XBox.

i would go with plextor, quality vs cost.. the px 716a is only 130 bucks.
dual layer at 4x, everything else at 16.
8 mb buffer. (most liteon's etc ive seen are only 2mb.)

I have the Benq DW1620 Pro from NewEgg and it's been a great burner, it does burn DVD+R DL discs but they are expensive to be "experimenting" with. But for normal DVD-R burning it's a great burner for under $60 shipped.

I downloaded:
ISO Buster
Where do I download CDDVD Gen?
In the ripping post it says you can use Nero Burning Rom but I do not have that, and it is not free.
I am new to backing up games.
Any suggestions on where to find the nessecary programs in order to backup God of War?
It would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
McPot

Quote: i think it would, but dvd9 burners are damn expensive
Actually, they're not anymore. The Sony DRU-700a, which I got last September, was only $130 at the time.
DVD-9 discs are still damn expensive, though..

kutiya, did u buy a backup or original?
if its a backup, then the extra movies are taken out.
the extra movies includes, making of the game and stuff like that which wont affect your game play

Hello Everyone,
I got God of War today and I understand that the new HDLoader Elf file (that I found on exploitstation.com) supposedly allows you to run God of War from your HDD. I've got the new HDLoader Elf file on my mem card but this is my question. Does God of War still freeze up at the Temple of Pandora if you are running it off your HDD via the new HDLoader Elf file?
I just don't wanna get that far into the game to find out it freezes up. Thanks for the help!!
I'm a newb help me please!!

assuming u downloaded the game.
if u have the "God of War USA PS2DVD5 PROPER-ConFuSiON" version, then you are fine, no freezes at all.
i have beaten the game with that version, so it works for sure.
side note: God Of War, is an AWESOME game
