getting nero to work

ijust got burner and installed nero 6 and it says nero showtime was unable to start playing selected vidio becouse other applications are playing back video or are in pause mode. i shut every thing down and tried i got the same thing. so i rebooted and still got the same thing does any one have answers for me please?

I got same error when I bought Nero at best buy all I did was go to thier website Nero.com" class="korostus" target="_blank">http://www.Nero.com and got free upgrade to Nero 6.6 and all is well now maybe unrelated issue but if its free try it

also uninstall incd i know it comes together but it causes conflicts

incd is a program that comes w/ Nero just watch when you are reinstalling and you can pick what you want to install is this oem version or store bought

here is another thing check your startup programs make sure there is nothing in the background causing conflicks

have Nero run a scan on the dvd see if it says there is a problem even though we know there is not

ok when you first pu in the dvd do you have a windows that pops up and asks wht do you want to do with this dvd if so are you clicking nothing and checking do this everytime i insert a disk

make sure and click do nothing as this will cause another program to start reding the dvd
