sometimes i get a message asking to formatt a blank dvd.do you have to formatt brfore you burn a movie?

also if i download a movie from the internet can i burn it to dvd,and will the picture be just as good as the original

you can, of course there are various ways to do it, to VCD, dvd, etc etc; as for quality, hopefully it shouldn't be too much different
