can you play burnt games or backed up games on the new ps2 slim?
slim ps2 can read dvd-r so can it play burnt games?

yes it can, but as with any ps2 model, you need some kind of help such as a modchip or a swapmagic set but none the less, yes, the slim ps2 can play backups

you DO need a swap magic disc and a flip top only around 45 bucks.

whats a flip top?
i have a swap magic disc but how do you use it on a slim ps2.

a flip top will replace the current one so that you can open it to swap discs without it reseting.
just like the old PS2's
you can also get a slimtool, or do the straw mod. But i would get a flip top myself.
