You have to burn it to your HD with Nero vision express then shrink it with DVD Shrink. Then Nero will burn it with Nero burning rom. At least thats how I do it.

DarkThief,
What I meant by make and model # if like this:
Pioneer- 108

Then we can go to this website (below)and see what other blank media people are using w/ the burner and if they are having problems w/ the blank media.

http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters

If you know how to get into Device Manager then look under Cd/DVD Roms and that also will tell you what the make and model # of the burner is

I just use DVD Santa to do that, I find it to be the easiest way since it will encode and burn for you, all you do is add the .AVI files

DarkThief,
Jim_dandy gave you the program below
http://www.vso-software.fr/download.htm

1. Make 2 folders on the Desktop, call on New 1 and the other New 2
2. Since the files are in .AVI form on the HD OPEN DIVXTODVD by clicking on it
3. You will see Source File w/ a red X. Click on the Red X and that clears the Source File and next to the Red X is a folder. Click on that folder and then locate the .AVI file on the computer
4. Underneath that is the DESTINATION FOLDER. Click on the red X and clear it then go to the folder on the right click on it and NOW FIND THE FOLDER YOU MADE CALLED NEW 1 and click on New 1.

5 It should be setup so now click on CONVERT and in a little while it will convert the file to .vobs

6. Now click on DVDShrink open it and go to OPEN FILES click on it and find the file that you processed using DIVXTODVD ( it is in the folder called NEW 1)
7. Shrink will now process the data. Shrink guides are under the guide section at the top.

Here's the same answere I gave gun_busta a few moments ago.

Download the free conversion tool from here.http://www.vso-software.fr/

This conversion tool will place the converted AVIs' in its own folder in your documents. dvxtodvd.

I access this folder with DVDShrink/nero, open it and select what I want too burn to a DVD disc.

happy burning

hi all

Yes. That's true. I'm really confused. I'm just trying to figure out how do you burn AVI files into, let alone, the dvd disc. I assuming thats another question :S.

a dvd structure is of file types vob/bup/ifo these files can be found on dvd originals, and that is what the AVI has to convert to, then you can burn them to dvdr

Nothing here to see, move along folks.
