Nero sucks, what can I rip avi to DVD with?

I need a good reliable program to burn avi to DVd format to watch at home on my DVD player. Nero 6 and Nero Vision came with my burner and it bombs about 1/5th into writing the DVD, but it burns data fine.

Well, it really doesn't sound like Nero "sucks", just your ability to use it and other programs.

I am going to check out the Boilsoft.

It looks reliable and easy.

I am not looking for perfect reproduction, just something to throw them on dvd.
