I have tried to save (copy) to a CD. I've read all the areas that discribe how simple it is including the tutorials and I have yet to be able to copy to a CD.

Can someone tell me in (real) simple steps how to save data, jpgs and sound files to a CD. I won't dare mention DVDs at this point.

When ever I put in a brand new just bought from the store CD into the CD/DVD recorder drive (E) I often get "burned completed" and yet there is nothing on the disc. Othertimes I get a "this is a read only CD/drive"

Hey roger3125,

Let's talk...

Will walk you through the steps...

1.Bring up Nero Express
2.Make sure you choose the Recorder Drive
3.Choose data disc, not bootable
4.Drop your files into the open area, you can drag and drop them if need be
*make sure it doesn't cover over the limit of the cd/dvd
5.After you are done, click next
6.Make sure current recorder is still set properly
7.Give it a name
8.Set your write speed, this one is tricky, but just choose maximum or what the maximum is for you.
9.Number of copies
10.Make sure multisession and verify data are checked
11.Click burn and then you are off!

Hope this helps!

;)

When you are done, try the dvd burning...it really isn't that tough.

:)

You sitting down Vernom? My gosh but it worked like clockwork, apparently I had the recorder on "Image Recorder CD-R/RW" when I should have it on "E:"

Can I then assume I would use the Image recorder when I'm burning jpgs?

If your offer above to show us how to burn DVD's is still open please put me down on your list.

Thanks alot my new friend

Yup...don't worry, I ALWAYS double check that just to be sure. But yeah, definately keep your eye out for that one, especially is you have multiple drives.

You know...I am not entirely sure. That is one option that I haven't even messed with. But thanks to you, I am going to check it tonight! I'll let you know what I come up with if you still want to know! ;)

I will put one together tomorrow and PM them to you. It is really easy! Because once you do dvd's, you will then be on your way to backing up PS2 and Xbox games.

If you mean copying a burn and making another burn with that copy...no way...not a touchy subject at all. Same principal as before.

Just put the original (burned cd/dvd in) and do the same thing.

I do it all the time. Once, I made a copy of White Chicks, then I used MY copy that I made, and made 20 more from that same one. All worked GREAT!

;)

I've heard that this can be done with DVD X but can this be done just using NeroExpress? If so, you have my ear. Thanks for the PM. I'll look forward to it.
