I believe there was a news post congratulating the winners.

We've got about 310,000 registered users -- some of them create a user account to our site only to receive newsletter, some just to receive software update notifications, etc. All of the registered users were eligible to participate to the contest, not just those posting to the forums. I'd say only about one third of all of our users have ever posted anything to our discussion forums.
You'd also have to remember that in addition of this English forum, we also have a DVD X Copy support forum and Finnish forum -- and all of these users were eligible to participate as well.
We're planning to have a second competition within next few months, just need to harvest some good prizes again and hope to see even more users to participate :-)

Neph: I'd say most Finns would prefer Sako's assault rifle, as its quite familiar to all males (yup, got national service here) in here :-) But getting a permission to hand out those as contest prizes... :-)

I would say, IMO, that you could have a few contests, including ones that are only for J.Members and up, one contest here, one for XCopy and one for Finnish forums etc. You could have one of the prizes be a 50 or 100 pack of TY (or similar) + or - R disks (Winner gets 5-10 days to have a say, then they get sent a random type if they did not respond) or something. I know that could get expensive if ya are awarding DVD-Burners and other expensive prizes. Thats your call dRD, I am just giving ya ideas.
