1. I just installed a flip top and when disk is inserted it makes a lound sound that goes away if a weighted cup is placed on it. .

2. Im trying to copy Mercenaries used DVD Decrypter to create ISO Image. whats next step.

1. a lot of people have that problem, but im not sure if they fixed it.
2. Mercenaries is a very bad game to start out with. It requires an extra fix. http://www.swapmagicfix.com
For most games, create an iso with DVD Decrypter and burn the iso with DVD Decrypter (you might have to burn the .mds file).

For your first question. Did your flip-top come with a white spinner in the top? If it did, chances are it doesn't have a magnetic piece in the top. Try swapping the white spinner that was originally in your ps2 with the one in the flip-top.

I had to use my old white piece in the new flip top
