I start my xbox and it loads the blob and than it does a quick flash and it says "Your xbox requires service. Please call Xbox Customer Support." It says it in six languages and i don't want to pay $80 to get it fixed with microsoft. Is there any way i can fix it my self

Is it modded? and what have you done to it recently? Need a bit more info. If its a new hdd you need to lock it.
