I have burned only a few disks so far but am getting reduced brightness (even dull) pictures on my results. Am I have tried Decrypt and Nero, 1Ckick and DVD Cloner. Is this a prereported result. Any clues on brightening my results up please ?

I'd check your connection from your DVD player to your TV. If that's good, it's probably the media. I use Ritek G04, many swear by Taiyo Yuden, others have their own preferences.
