Hey guys,

Glad to be part of another community, I hope to participate in some great discussions with all of you.

Since many of you have more experience with PS2 backups, I have a question:

I have a choice on which DVD media to get. What would you guys suggest for the Slim PS2? DVD+R or DVD-R?

Secondly, would you guys recommend TDK or Phillips DVDs? Or would you say that they are both equally good quality?

i recommend dvd-r, not sure which ones but some ps2 doesnt accept +r.
i have a slim pstwo and i think these dvds are the best. never had one problem.

if you havent made a backup before there are loads of help on this forum, its how i found out how to do it.
and make sure you download DVD Decrypter.

I am also wondering about Philips DVD-Rs and if they are any good.
Found this on my searches around this forum:
"MXLRG01, MXLRG02 = Maxell = (-R) ... be aware of unbranded fakes
MCC = Mitsubishi Chemicals = (-R)
TDKG02 = TDK Corp = (-R) ... be aware of unbranded fakes
TAIYOYUDEN or YUDEN = Taiyo Yuden = (-R)"

i dont usually like to complain... and i realise you are new here but if you look through this forum you will see that the question of what media to use has been mentioned hundreds of times. a simple browse through would give you a good idea of what is and isnt good to use for backups.
