Unable to veiw burnt dvds in standalone players

I have used dvd shrink to burn dvds onto both a Verbatim dvd-rw,and Mitsubishi dvd-r. In both cases burn was successful and can be viewed on pc but comes up with bad disc error on stand alone player. Both stand alone players are inexpensive brands.

I also use DVD Shrink and Nero to burn dvd's with the same problem. They will play fine on my PC but will not play on my dvd player. Nero says burn is successful. I have tried playing the burnt dvd's on 4 different dvd players...none of them would play them. I use TDK and verbatim and up until the last couple of weeks have never had any trouble. I also tried to use DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter with the same results which again would not play on any of the dvd's player.

Sorry cheapie English slang for inexpensive
I have two dvd players one an expensive one this one will not play copy's.Screen breaks up or freezes was advised to buy inexpensive dvd player had no problem but sometimes says bad disc or no disc I then switch off from electric point for about 10 mins then try again this usually works.

Jim - there is a difference - el cheapoes of Chinese origin tend to be much more tolerant of all types of media compared with (inexprensive brands) that may not have this origin.
I have two and they do not miss a beat compared with name/Japanese brands (inexpensive or expensive) that I now have one of and is much more finicky as to what DVD's it chooses to play.

My cheapo is made in Japan supports playing DVD-R CD-R CD-RW SVCD VCD Pal/NTSC Having said that it's now decided to break up with new copied releases I was only able to encode them using DVD Decrypter.I read somewhere that the new movies now released on DVD have a new chip on them.Please forgive me if I have this info wrong.

The chip you mentioned, is baloney!
It was just a story made up to scare people, about discussing copying rented dvds.
There are new dvd encryptions, but no chip.
The latest version of DVD Decrypter, or AnyDVD, gets past those new encryptions.

Let us not forget that using decent media plays a part.
If you still experience freezing, dial down the DVD Target size to around 4360MB so you don't burn to the edge of the disc
