i have a little problem im wanting to using an adsl modem/router but dont know how to go about this.

what i do know is
i can use the adsl modem to use xbox live and go on the internet.
i also know how to network using network card with internet sharing

what i dont know is
if i use this adsl modem / router to access the internet and live can i still set it up a a network for streaming movies too xbmc and ftp

any hlp is much apprciated.
