Use dvd decrypter.
driver3 should backup no issues.
Use good media.
I use VERBATIM (MCC) AND FUJIFILM (YUDEN)
Burn at 2x speed.
This one should be easy.

Using DVD Decrypter

1. Start DVD Decrypter
2. Select Mode, go down to ISO Read
3. Select your Reader & Destination
4. ?Decrypt? the ISO Image to the Hard Drive
5. Wait for the ISO Image to be made
6. Select Mode, go down to ISO Write
7. Select the ISO Image file you made, click ?Open?
8. Select your Burner, Write speed & Burn the ISO

what speed did you burn.
Im trying to help you.
Give me more information than "I tried everything".

i use sony dvd-r...i used dvd decryptor...read iso...then write iso....but still got red screen...i just tried Alcohol 120% again...and the problem with that is that when i insert the playstation2 game (Driver3)and go to image burning wizard...the option for datatype desipearsand i cant click on playstation2...but when i put in a playstation 1 game...like tekken3 for example...the option to click on datatype (playstation) is there...and it all works fine.

It got to be something with the chip or the bios.

I use swap magic and i have had no issues.

Have you tried booting cd loader first then
the backup.

if i understand you correct your cd games work fine.
Downloader cd-loader from www.swapmagicfix.com
Burn it to a cd-r.
Load up the cdloaderv7.
press eject insert a ps2 original dvd
(too refresh the system for a dvd rom)
When it says ea method.
