I am trying to copy a dvd that someone made from vhs. The dvd that was given to me doesn't play on my computer or on my stand alones, although my standalones are older. When I open the dvd it has these yellow folders in it: CDI EXT KARAOKE MPEGAV

VCD SEGMENT

I have tried to burn the whole disk using nero, but no luck. As you have probably already figured out I'm an idiot when it comes to this. I copy my dvd's with no problem using Dvd shrink and nero. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

You probably have a VCD rather than a DVD.

You can try to run thoses files through Nero Vision Express and see if they will convert to proper DVD format. I'm not sure if NVE will pick those files up or not, but its worth a try.
