Having difficulty backing up Spider-Man 2

Right I'm new to this backing stuff up but so far I've successfuly backed up Prince of Persia: Sands Of Time and Splinter Cell (the first one), with Nero, using swap magic 3.6. Tried several times to back up Spider-Man 2 but to no avail, using DVD-Rs that worked with the other games, I've also tried a DVD +R and DVD RW on the off chance that they might work, but not having any joy so far and I can't imagine why.

Any ideas?

I used DVD Decrypter on Spiderman 2. Burned it onto Verbatim DVD+R at 4x speed with my Pioneer DVD Burner. I tried to burn at 1x but it burns at 4x. Anyway, it works fine for me. My PS2 is an old school version 1.

I use Swap Magic 3.3 / Flip top case with it.
