Quick Problem.

Hey folks. Im new to burning and backuping xbox games but ive done this for ps2 before. Now I have an xbox ISO, and i didnt use it to backup I used other ways to get it. I extracted it and burnt it. It didnt boot. I don't know what I did wrong.

I burned it on 1x on DVDDECRYPTOR. Did I do something wrong. I unerstand there is a certain xbox format to be burnt. A file format of some sorts. I don't really understand this so if somebody could help me solve this it would be great.

DVD decrypter will not write Xbox disc.Use Quix to decrypt Xbox iso to read and write onto DVD...

Okay man. It seems as if i need files to make an iso using quix. But i already have an iso file(wam-ns3.iso)

Please i dont want to be sent to another site. I just want to know what to do. I need this done by monday(tommorow) im in a rush and im asking please for help.

Maybe it needed to be patched?? just a suggestion.. you can patch an iso using Crax4.. it is pretty simple to use.. hope this helps..

Anyone? Again ill recap.

I have an ISO. I burnt it with DVD Decryptor and it dindt work in the xbox. I dont know if thers something I missed. I have no clue what to do. And i need this game for tommrowo night(Monday)> So please anyone with a solution pleae help.

Try Craxtion,decrypt the iso to the folder name.Then transfer the extracted files to your Xbox games folder..Play the game....using any dashboard besides MS dashboard...

ok well since you have qwix we will try it with that program..

first you should extract the iso then you can patch the .xbe file then create the iso again.. you can do this all with qwix then use DVD Decrypter to burn it to disk..

let me know if you need a more detailed description..

ok well here goes..

1) open qwix and click on EXTRACT ISO.. find the iso and press open.. find a destination that you want the new files to go and press ok.

a transfering box will come up (a 3.5gig game took me 8 mins)

2) Now click on the TOOLS tab on the left of the Qwix main screen

3) click on the Patch XBE tab

4)open the folder you just extracted and find the dashupdate.xbe file and press open then press ok amd do the same for the default.xbe file and the update.xbe file.

5)click on the CREATE ISO tab on the left of the main screen.. click on the local folder and then locate the new folder you extracted

6)Press the Create ISO tab (under the options) and find a new location for your new ISO..

(a progress window will now appear)


7)When this is completed you can burn your new ISO using dvd Decrypter

I hope this helps...

Thank you so much. I have a quetsion. Will i notice a difference with the original ISo and the new ISO to no if its been fixed.

And do you suggest using Nero to burn insteqad.

You made a mistake by extracting the xISO. You don't extract it, you burn it.

no i dont think it will look different..

i have had great success with burning my ISO's using DVD Decrypter but not to much success with Nero so i now just use DVD Decrypter to burn them.. I have read that heaps of other people prefer Nero or alcohol120.. i guess it is just personal preference..

i only gave a suggestion.. if anyone else thinks they can help go for it...
