hi guys,

I'm authoring my own dvd currently, and I'm expecting the iso file to weigh in at around 10-12 gig.

does dvd shrink have the capability of shrinking this to a dual layer disc, rather than a single layer, as I'd rather not lose that much in quality.

I'd check myself, but I'm not at home, currently.

if I can't do it via dvd shrink, what other options would you suggest to compress the videos without losing too much quality.

I am using ULead DVD workshop for authoring, and capturing the video via my dvd recorder in dvd-vr mode.

You can change the output size in the shrink menu. Under "Edit-Preferences" you can choose DVD-9 which will get your max to 8.5 Gb's. I've never done this myself, but I would figure it's possible since it's an option in the menu.
