I have got swap magic and my friend has got a mod chip, if I borrow any of his games they never work. I think this is because his ps2 can read games/DVDs a lot easier, but my ps2 wont play any DVDs and takes ages to load any ps2 game. If this is the problem is there anything i can do about it? Or could it be anything else?

Buy a laser from eBay! They have them between $30.00 and $50.00...Good Luck!

Some sellers do have good prices on Ebay. I just ordered a 400c for my v9 off Ebay. We'll see how it goes. Make sure you know what model laser you need.

you can always try adjusting and cleaning your laser before you run out and buy a new one.
