We got the new PS2 (the slim one) and I read the manual but I want to make sure what type of DVD does the PS2 read does it read DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD-RW? I cant seem to make head or tails of what the book says and want to make sure. Could someone be able to advise me.

Thanks in advance

Cheers :D

Quote:
can you use dvd+RW
ps2 wont read any type of rewritable media,
as far as i am aware

stick to dvd-r,at least then you can use the same batch of disc's to burn movies on aswell,if you like,
having said that, some games are said to work better on dvd+r,(games that read constantly off the disc)like gta san andreas

dvd+r dont favour dvd players so much

i would get a batch of dvd-r,
and a few dvd+r

Cool, just got a burner today and it came with a free pack of 10 dvd+R so didnt know if the ps2 can use that or not. We thinking of getting a cheap dvd player as I heard they read anything, ps2 can be a bit fussy with dvds. We hire dvd and out of 3, 2 wont play, I have been told ps2 just fussy with dvd but I dont know.

Thanks for all your help

Cheers :D
