Over the past couple of weeks I've had various problems mentioned on the board. Slow burn speed, Shrink frezzing up, not encoding correctly, etc... After trying different solutions to various problems and 1/2 a donzen coasters later, I decided to start from scratch.

So, I removed sp2, uninstalled all of my DVD burning programs, closed all programs running in the back ground, made sure my DMA was set right, got rid of any unused programs and defrag'd. I then updated my firmware and reinstalled my dvd programs.

It is now as speedy as ever and have had no problems. Yet...
