No its againt the law you can only have a back up copy if you own the original then you carnt get done 4 it.

Try and understand! It does not work like that! You cant BUY backups that would be piracy, you will have to backup your own collection on your own... But from your post it seems you dont want to legitamatly backup but sell and make a profit!! Wrong move
If you already know its against the law WHY are you asking??
My advice to you would be to look after you originals and DONT get them scratched (thats if you have originals at all)!

i know whats illigal and whats not.i do have the originals and if i can find someone who will sell back ups then id send photos of mine etc.i dont have the knowledge or understanding of how to do them myself or a dvd burner.basically i have a ps2 and i collect the games and never use them as i intend to be able to sell them in new original packaging when i decide to.i.e in years to come but was hopeing as you can have copys if you have the originals that i could buy them cheaper so to play them n not having to buy the games twice for the ones i wanna play.does this make more sence now.

OK, but you are in the right place to ASK about how to go about backing up you originals.. Search this forum for backing up PS2 games it is fearly simple, all you need is a PC with a DVD writer.
You are saying you have not got the knowledge or understanding on how to backup a PS2 game... ok but you can learn though right?
Plus you say you know whats illegal and whats not? Well what is illegal is for someone to SELL you a COPYIED playstation game! Cant you see that this would be illegal as they will be profitering from it and thus is piracy... (also photos are irrelivant!!)
CONCLUSION
It is illegal for anyone to sell you a copyed/backup of any type of media if it is copyrighted!

Thanks moderator! If people would read up on their copyright laws you wouldn't sound so stupid. You can sell backups of digital media, but US Federal Law states that if you sell a backup, you must provide the original media from what the backup was made from. Obviously this would serve absolutely no purpose to sell backups, because you would have to BY LAW provide the original. You wanna buy a backup of a game? Sure, but you gotta pay for the original too, and you won't find any good deals as far as that is concerned.

yes i eill change my thing, but if you read the copyright you can sell backups but the person thats i sbuying it from you need to own the origanal. It is there resanable if they break the copyright. I know this becaus i myself had to go downtown and ask them.

You are correct in what you are saying, you could sue your boss for not paying you so that means the game companies could sue YOU for not paying them, as you are profitering from what you are/were doing.

How could they sue me when i makinh backups of games that i own. I'm selling the backups to peoplw who do not have a dvd burner or who do not have time to make a backup of there owned game.
