My PS2 brothers, I got a question that needs answering!

Can a new Gateway notebook with DVD burner, backup PS2 games successfully? Please don't tell me that I got to buy a separate burner for it after I shelled out like $1,200 for this notebook.

Thanks!!!!!

Beefone, I want to thank you for your reply. I have a question concerning your reply, though. When you said, "yep, that should do it," did you mean that my Gateway laptop with a built-in DVD burner will surfice in burning PS2 games, so that I don't need to buy a separate DVD burner? I hope that's what you meant.

I appreciate your response, PS2 bro'.

Beefone, and to answer your question that I forgot to answer, I will be getting Nero software to burn my PS2 games. Do you think this is cool or should I try something better?
Thanks !!!!

Yes, that should do fine, if the burner can burn +R discs. Please see here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/180571

This is one of my posts regarding what media (-R or +R) to use when backing up original PS2 Discs.
