The real only way to copy DVD9 games is to follow this tutorial on DVD9 flatening (((http://www.ps2hd.com/forums/faq.php?faq=dvd9)))
And if that doesnt work try this one (((http://www.exploitstation.com/articles/dvd9single.php)))

If you have been able to backup Gran Turismo 4, please drop in the offical GT4 thread and tell us how. Due to the DVD checks, flattening the game will not make it work. It specifically looks to see if the DVD is single or dual layered. If I am somehow incorrect, please show me the way.
