when u extract it,you extract it once and you should be left with an image to burn.like an iso or bin/cue file,
sounds like you have gone 1 step further and opened the image up
which u shouldnt have

I use DVD Decrypter to rip an original game, then DVD Decrypter again to burn it...Downloading games can be a double-edged sword, because you're not 100% sure if every file you need is there. I have found that my PS2 (SCPH-700XXX) will not read -R discs, so I suggest that if you burn a game, use +R discs, to be safe.

Do you need a patch for san andreas? I copied my original and it works kind of OK except it takes AGES to load into the game, and the ingame loading is slow as well. Help please!!!

No, I don't mean quite slow. I mean like about 10 mins from when I turn on the ps2 to when I start to play it! When I am riding around, I crash into thin air and THEN the ps2 decides to show me a wall or something in place of that thin air I rammed headfirst in.
BTW, I am using imation DVD-R discs, I have a V1 ps2 (I think so. Is the version of a ps2 is the same as the playstation 2 driver? I went on to system configuration and pressed TRIANGLE and it said the ps2 driver was 1.1 something something). I read the original with DVD Decrypter and burnt it with the same program at 1x speed, as my previous attempt with 4x failed. I have a MSI DVD DUAL LAYER 4X BURNER.
