i have a .avi video file and am currently using powerproducer to burn it. i knew this program took long but i started at 8:00 this morning and it is not 4:15 and still no progress. this program usually takes long but not this long. any other suggestions to burning avi files to dvd.

You can try this free program:

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd.cfm.
After the file is made then use DVDShrink to compress if needed and then Nero or DVDDecrypter to burn
