Hi i have downloaded Tekken 5.rar and extracted all the files to a folder coz i didnt know what to do. Then i found that u have to extract the .001 file as an image file. I have extracted that file with WinRAR but it hasn't extracted as an image file it has just extracted as the same extention (.001) i'm not sure if its meant to stay the same but im guessin its not. So i used PowerArchiver and WinAce and it gave me the 'CRC error'. And wouldnt do anything.. i am very confused can someone please help me out!
Thank You! =)

Try using WinRAR, thats what i used and it worked like a charm
just to help out a bit, ill show you what i did
Have all the .001 .002 etc files in same folder
Open .001 with WinRAR and you will see a image file
Extract that image file to wherever on your computer
Burn that image using dvd decryptor at 2x even though when i burned at 2x i had problems but with 4x it works smoothly
Test the disk
remember to use top quality dvd-r media such as ritek or verbatim
hope i was some help

Sorry, but your explanation is really badly worded and I have almost no clue as to what you are doing.
Well what exactly did you download? Usually its supposed to be a bunch of rar files, from .001 all the way to .030. .031, etc. All of these rar files should be in a single folder.
If you have WinRAR installed, you can double click on any one of these files and WinRAR will open and show the contents of the archive in its window. Just extract and choose a destination and wait a few minutes.
Everything should extract to one file. In this case a single .iso file which you use to burn.
The main thing is that the .00# files you download have to all be in the same folder or else WinRAR will not know where it is. It doesn't matter which one you click on either.

Quote: Open .001 with WinRAR and you will see a image file
eh?
i have never had to open a rar file
when you download a file in rar format all you need to do is extract one of the rar files.
you must have WinRAR......
right click on the first file(001) and select "extract here",
this will give you an image file.i.e iso,bin/cue
img files can be burnt with DVD Decrypter if i am not mistaken,
or nero

you dont need to extract from every rar file you had,you just do it once
and you normally have 1 bin and 1 cue

.001 files are usually rar files. If you click the first one and have WinRAR installed it should prompt you to uncompress the files. This usually yields an image file. These can then be burned. If you are getting a crc error, your files are not intact. That basically means you need to run a crc program and see what file(s) is bad. That is why most come with a .sfv file to check the completness of your download. If there is a crc error and you can no longer download the file over, the whole thing is useless. You cannot fix a crc error without access to the original files. This is frustrating and reason enough to not download the games off the net.
