God of War backup won't load in my PS2...

I can't get my backup of God of War to load in my PS2, would anyone out there please help me out with this problem. I have a fairly new PS2 and it contains a modchip well I backed up the other day with this online tutorial and well I followed each step correctly and well I'm still not getting it to load. It goes to the browser menu with the memory cards and recognizes it as a Playstation 2 disc and yet it won't load. Anyone help me out with this problem.
