Softmodding a version P2L!?

Ok so I use Itools v 1.7 and Mechassualt to softmod. But recently I've been working on an xbox that says it is version P2L for an xbox version!? When I run Itools I install UDE2 for Kernal 5838 and blah blah blah. They only thing that happens inside the xbox is that it makes a backup of C:\...other than that there is no change in the Fonts folder or anywhere else as a matter of fact. What is happening here? Anyone else know?!
