Hi,

I'm trying to back up some of my kids games and I am running into a problem.

I am using Nero 5.5.4 and previously using Windows 98. Everything worked fine. I could copy all of them.

I just upgraded (if you could call it that.) to Windows XP SP2. Now Nero says the games are "The CD is copyrighted". It never did this before. The copies do not work.

I'm assuming it is some new feature that was suddenly available because of Windows XP.

So I have 2 questions.

1. Can anyone provide me with the general technical details of what has changed in XP to cause this issue with the same software.

2. What recommendations of CD Burning software do you have that don't have this problem.

I'm a little cheesed off. In Canada we actually PAY for the right to make backups of our Audio and Data CDs through a Levy on all blank medium. Therefore I don't see why this software should stop me. (Of course I'll get off my soap box since I'm cure I'm preaching to the choir now.)
