Alright heres the problem boys,im really to this stuff so bare with me..

#1 - i download avi movies off of limewire..

#2 - i combine all my avi files into one big file using "AVIJOINER"

#3 - i use "WINAVI" to convert my avi file into separate dvd files...like vob, ifo, etc.

#4 - i use nero express and drag all my files into video_ts.....sometimes it will burn with no problem but freeze during a part and only play 32 mins of the movie...some will go longer like an hour then freeze..and sometimes if i drag all the files in Video_ts therell be an error..of some sort..

can someone help me out , im having big problems?

Sounds like to me the .AVI had different framerates.
If one is different than any of the others it will still join them,
But it will freeze when the framerate changes.

Good luck

Hi some people use the free VSO DvxToDVD conversion tool, then burn the AVI files with a DVDshink/Nero combination in re-author mode.

conversion tool here http://www.vso-software.fr/

Guides http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/tutorial007.html

and herehttp://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/join2movies.htm

It may look complicated at first, but once you're used to it, its just a few mouse clicks.

regards gringle

[edit extra] the Vso conversion tool also edits out and discards errors, so an AVI movie subject to freezing runs normally afterwards.

if you use vso divx to dvd you dont need to drag your files anywhere. If you are dragging your files into and out of the video_ts folder then that could account for the issue of some working and some not. When you convert them and get a video_ts folder, when you attempt to burn you need only point the burning program to the folder , you dont need to move the contents

Its VSO DvxToDVD if you run an AVI movie through it it throws a DVD file out. Usually in your, My Documents folder

from there I use DVDshrink/nero to burn it to DVD.

Open shrink
click on Edit
choose preferences
click the file I/O tab
tick the burn with Nero box

This VSO program will convert most CD movies to DVD. in an hour or so.

@ kingguarn : did the link i provide you explain your access violation, as you have'nt replied yet. Also memorex media only works for some people and not all.Try substituting the memorex for something like ritek, taiyo yuden, sony etc
