hi all, my friend just checked the media and found the following number around the inner circle "GG000102", and this is for the dvd-r 8x, not sure about the dvd+r 8x cause he didn't order it. So this is genuine ty media?
I've burned about 200 disks with that number on the inner circl without a bad burn, so most likely you'll have good experiences too.

Does that mean you are going to try the burnmaster 8X OEM TY's?
Make sure you post updates on what you get and the performance.

i called them to send me a few sample discs, like 2 of each...the dvd+ and the dvd- to try, i paid a measly shipping cost to get them to me, they said i will receive them by next week.

naturally, im going to update and let everyone know MY experience with them, im actually pretty curious myself as to how these will perform. good luck to all of you and let us know if anyone tries these before i get mine~

have a good one.

just got my 100 pack that i split wiht my friend, they were the burnmaster 8x DVD+Rs

inner hub has TG00000 serial numbers and DVDinfo reports the TY002 or whatever code which matches with genuine TY's (it's the right one i just can't remmeber it off the top of my head). my friend's Plextor 716 was able to burn the first test piece at 16x with no problems at all! Trying to find a parity testing program that works with his plextor now...

thanks for the update mushrew,

i have still yet to receive my samples that i paid for...gave them another call today and they said it was shipped out, however, no tracking number since it was shipped via USPS rather than Fedex like they usually do. :(

anyways, i'll take your word on it, if they have the TGxxxxx inscription, then you definitely got the REAL DEAL. i am assuming your dvd+r coded out as TYGO2?? i believe that is the correct media ID code.

while i do not own a plextor, i think these should be just fine...the fact that your plexy burned it at 16x on a test disc, wow. thinking about taking the plunge...but, due to my sample pack being delayed for over 2 weeks now, i am hesitant about ordering from allmediaoutlet.com

hmm....to buy or not to buy??? that is the question....

I have been tracking a couple of posts regarding this media.. hoping that it was really TY.
The TG00000 serial number and the media ID of T02 is a deal sealer.. with shipping a spindle of 100 plus a spindle of 50 comes out to $4.00 cheaper than three 50 packs of the FujiFil TYs that were on sale at Best Buy... this is a pretty good deal.
Hopefully we can get confirmation from a couple more people.
Mushrew - can you ask your friend how long did the shipping take??
Kivory666 - I eagerly await the results of your tests.

Funny thing is I have two 50 spindles of TYs, with only 1 spindle opened and 15 discs used so far, plus two unopened 50 spindles of the FujiFilm TYs. Hah hah - do I really need more media right now??
But it's good to know that I can get TY media at such a great price..

shipping was very quick, but then again i'm in the same state as allmedia (california). i was the one whom ordered the media, but i didn't have a burner at the time so i was testing it on my friend's plextor (my POS optorite crapped out on me a week ago, have a nice new NEC 3520 now though.)

Mushrew...
The serial number on the hub is along the lines of TG001158 or TG001133??

In DVDIdentifier, does the media code match the following??

hahahaha...if you join my new club, to answer your question very directly, you can NEVER HAVE ENOUGH MEDIA~ i purchased 1,200 TYs just last month alone, with about 500 to add to that in the month of May. :)

while i might be more excessive than anyone else you might know, i have quite a few people on here that consistently come to ME now as the authority on TY media and Verbatims as well.

while i STILL have yet to receive my order for the OEM TYs...i am going on the fact that the other members that have ordered from allmediaoutlet can confirm these as being authentic TYs.

your serial numbers are fine, you wanted an answer, you got one. :)
and you got a good price to boot, so, you should be very happy.

i personally don't even need the software media testing programs anymore for TYs or Verbatims, i can tell now just by feeling them and looking on the actual disk themselves.

well, if you have any more questions about genuine TYs/ and or fakes, feel free to PM me...what you have received is the REAL DEAL, so you can rest assured knowing that. good luck w/ ur backups, keep em' burning~

good day to you all~

Wow.. 1200 TY's??? Hah hah.. yeah.. that's a bit extreme. Maybe by next month I will have the need for that quantity on a monthly basis.

I already knew that my TYs were genuine. Before I purchased any media I researched for 2 weeks in various Forums and Bulletin Boards and settled on TYs as my media of choice. I was just asking Mushrew if the serial#/media i.d.# of the burnmasters matched the ones I listed - which happen to be my batch of TY and FujiFilm TYs... apologies for the confusion.

Now if those dual layer discs would only come down in price... :-)

not a problem....

while i wish i could tell you 100% on those burnmasters if they match what you got, but, unfortunately, mine never arrived...it's been like almost a month now. :(

i've given up on waiting for them because this was my 1st experience dealing w/ allmediaoutlet, they have disappointed me to say the very least. very bad 1st impression, no matter how small my sample order was, they should have treated it like any other order. :P

we'll see when mushrew responds...good day to you

@ yall.

ok i've read about TY'S till i'm red in the face and i now
have a headache aswell............LOL

no, really i have been using those Ridata GO4"S and GO5"S
with very good success for about 1 year or so.
about 300 backups............

then of course i have been reading about all the problems
people are having with Ridata Disk's...............
makes me wonder.............

my last 2 100 pack's, i started having problems such as
skipping, stopping, ect.

the other part of this issue is i usally make backups for a family
member aswell, latley every thing i've made for her does the same
thing like skipping, stopping ect.

i just updated my firmware in hopes this may fix it.

now i want to try those TY'S everyone is raving about.

can you tell me if these are real before i buy them??
or are these the ones i should buy?

http://www.supermediastore.com/taiyo-yuden-4x-dvd-r-media-silver-matte-spindles-100.html

i have been using www.allmediaoutlet.com for about 2 years they
went to s**t, the support on this issue has sucked, by the way.
so i'll do buizz elsewhere..................

ok thanks again gang.........
good day to all............

They have the TG001158 codes.

OUTSTANDING!!!! I will tweak my budget so I can grab 100 of these bad boys. Looks like I wont be dependent on Best Buy sales (unless they come up with a whopper) for my TY media.
Maybe I will spring for the BurnMaster TDK quality premium-grade DVD+R 16X 4.7GB White Inkjet printables..great prices!!!!

look at my sig, the ones you linked above are the TYGO1s...thousand plus burns on those 4x dvd-r TYs...they are real and after my 1st thousand, you can say my confidence in those are very high~ :)

i buy most of my media from supermediastore, i can safely say i've put at least one of their children through college (1 year's tuition at a state school :P) already with as much money as i've poured into them :P

secondly, i will take your advice about allmediaoutlet as i stated my 1st experience with them has been awful, 1 month, NOTHING to show for it...hey, i paid less than $10 to have some samples of the burnmaster sent to me, but, they never came...i could have bought lunch or something with that $10...money wasted on this store.

while there will be others that have had nothing but great experiences with allmediaoutlet (such as mushrew above), but, i for one will go back to what has worked for me. supermediastore, rima and meritline (in that order of preference from my personal experience).

perhaps in the future i will go out on a limb and try it, but, for now, i've drastically slowed my backups down as it's giving me a headache doing 100+/week~ my personal collection is not even 1/2 way through yet, but, i still got plenty of time before the wife and i have a kid, no need for me just yet to worry about the kids scratching and messing up my dvds :)

good day to you all~

to all: if either of those 2 online retailers ever have any coupons or discounts on those burnmasters, please PM me, i would be willing to go out on a limb and put up some of my scans/charts/logs if i can get these at a discounted price :P

i buy too many TYs as it is already, check my sig. so, i just need an extra incentive to make me consider these and give everyone my opinion on these. 1st impressions of this company allmediaoutlet for me has left a bad taste in my mouth, never got what i paid for after waiting for a month~ so, with some sort of discount, i would be willing to give them a 2nd chance~ :)

what do you not know about? im somewhat confused as to your answer to me...?

i've had horrible experience w/ allmedia and was really debating whether i should even give them a 2nd chance...but, my curiousity in these OEM's is eating away at me. :)

like i mentioned earlier, i have yet to receive my order sample that i paid for..it's been close to a month now, but, just waiting to see if it's worthwhile to place order online with them, since my 1st botched up order was over the phone~ :P

good luck w/ ur TYGO1s...they work just fine for me personally~

I have bought stuff from blank-cd-cdr.com before and have never had any problems. Maybe you might think about buying some of the burnmasters from them if allmedia is not up to snuff.

Just a thought.

im just waiting for them to go on sale or discounted somewhat before i take the dive in with EITHER of those 2 aforementioned online retailers~ considering the 2nd link is just a "clone" of allmedia as the other member stated, i wouldn't be surprised if they were identical parent companies that branched out w/ different domain names just to build up more business, it's a very common practice for companies to do :P

personally, i don't buy spindles by the 100, if im going to even consider spending my time somewhere, i'll pick up at least minimum 600; and since both those retailers are in CA, i have to pay sales tax on top of shipping, which adds another $60 to the total if i go with the 1,200 pack~ so, until i can get the total under $400, im going to wait it out~

good luck with your own experiences to those that have tried these.
