352x576 PAL to NTSC (Resulting in a long narrow video)

I have a DVD with 17 small movies on it, all of which are at 352x576 (PAL) resolution. I have succesfully been able to convert the PAL VOBS to NTSC ones but am having a problem in that the finished result is a long, narrow video in the middle of the screen.
Can anyone help with a solution, something that would actually fill the screen? Thanks.

There!!! :-)

Anyway, I have done this and as I've said successfully done all the conversion to NTSC and written the DVD, but unfortunately when I play it all I get is a long thin picture in the center of the screen.

O.K., so did you set the aspect ratio in Nero before encoding?
