Hi, I need a good 'FREE' DVD Audio ripper to make MP3 files and burn to a CD. Anyone know of one?

not sure if this is what u are looking for but u can check it out. it is freeware. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/about/
also this one, http://www.imtoo.com/dvd-audio-ripper.html
it says u can download for free but it may be a trial version. but it's probably more of what u are looking for.

Thanks for your help, but yes, I'm looking for free software, as in, not trials or something I'm going to have to spend any money on.

I only need to do one project, so paying 30 dollars or more on a program just wouldn't be worth it.

if it's just one project, then a trial may be just what u need. i checked it out and clicked on the link for the free dl and it looked like it was going to let me install it for free.
but if i find any that are actual freeware i'll keep u posted.

Well yeah, I downloaded that second one you listed and it DOES let you use it for free...as long as you're only needing 5 stinking minutes of ripping. lol

Most of the trials I've downloaded only work for 5 minutes, then ask for you to buy the product.

Found another program you might want to try. It also has a trial version and a pay version. I think the difference is that w/ the trial it says you can't rip audio from copy protected dvd's. But I think a way around that would be to use a dvd you have already burned. That way there is no copy protection on it. Just a thought.

@ fishbulb

Could you post the link with that trial version please? I'm trying for months now to get a program that actually works! And not only 5 minutes of each track, that really sucks.

Unfortunately I don't remember exactly what site I was talking about. Not sure why I didn't post it. But here are a few that may be helpful. I know the first 3 have trial versions available and of those, I think the 3rd one says you can rip 50% of the DVD. I don't know about the other two. The last one may be completely free. I didn't see anything about having to purchase it. Hope this gets you going in the right direction :-)
