i just got my ps2 v#3 modded with a dms4 lite.. i've read other postings on how to backup games..but i keep on making coasters! i always get the Red Screen of death...

i used DVD-Decrypter to read and write the game..but nothing..
i tried them with
KODak DVD+R (purple back) didn't work
then i bought
Verbatim DVD-R (purple Back)..also didn't work!

in DVD-Decrypter, i put the burn speed at 1X and the read speed to AUTO...but when it burns it shows that it burns around 4x
Anyone got any suggestings...

its best to burn the dvds at 1x or 2x and to use DVD-R instead of DVD+R
also it could be possible your modchip wasnt installed right, do any games work?

here are some good DVD Decrypter directions. Just in case there is a step there you are missing, which i doubt.

Other than that,it sounds like you are doing everything right.
a couple things you could try just for kicks and giggles
update your burners firmware
get better media then Verbatim
Read up on your version to make sure it can play both +R & -R
From what i remember reading i thought it was only +R, but i could be wrong. PS2's are picky about what type of media they like.
Have you checked on the DMS web page to see if the DMS4 Lite has any flashes available? I know my DMS4 Pro did, and without it you would still need to use a boot disc with your games.
Have you tried loading them with a boot disc (Swap Magic)?

This is all i can think of, may not help but i tried.

Ok i just check the DMS Forums and there is a Bios flash for the lite.

ToxicBIOS v1.3

Read up on it, then download it, burn it to a CD-R and play it in your PS2.
