PI Errors? How to test?

I want to know how to test the quality of burnt discs. I was told that software exists for Lite-ON drives that can tell the PI errors, and thus the quality of the burn.

I am no conaisseur, but would love some software that could meake these tests for me. I make backups of movies and data, so I wish to verify the quality of the burn after the discs are burnt.

EDIT: I tried Nero CD-DVD speed,under disk quality, but it gives me an error "failed to initialize test"

It takes forever to test each DVD which is why it pays to buy quality media and just scan a few DVDs instead of every single DVD.

Yeah but that software says it's only good for LITE ON drives. I have NEC drives.

Any insight?

Nero should work fine. Make sure your running the latest version
extras, test drive, extra, cd quality test.

NEC drives can't do PI/PO error testing...........yet

BUT, the 3500 and 3520 will be able to around May 1st with new firmware upgrade
