You can use this program to make the .avi's DVD-Compliant:

To make the menu's use Nero Ultra trial version. It is the full D/L ( just do not D/L InCD)

I have been using NeroVision Express 3 with sort of mixed results. When they burn successfully, it is a pretty good program to use because you can customize the menu and create thumbnails for each episode. Also, if you want to enhance it even further, you can go to http://www.cdcovers.cc/covers.php, and download the front cover for the show and use that as the background. Looks pretty cool.

Mixed results means I have had a bit of inconsistency with the burn success, probably has a lot to do with the media I am using as well but seem to even get failures with more expensive media.
