After sifting through all of the information in this forum I?m still somewhat confused as to what recordable media to purchase.

Question;
Is there a high quality -R/-RW recordable disc that I can back up an entire movie dvd to on one side of?

Question;
What would be the best discs to look for?

I'm less concerned about the speed of the copy as I am about the quality of the copy.

Even AZO dye layor, consistancy, proven.

A couple other good choices are Verbatum Datalifeplus, and Maxell.

I'm hoping to find recordable discs that can be played on all of my mobile entertainment systems that we use frequently on trips.

Rosen R5001 10 disc dvd/cd changer.
Necvox DVA 3210 10 disc dvd/cd changer.
Directed PB1040 portable lcd/dvd player in my travel trailer.

It would be great if I could move the back-ups from vehicle to vehicle without having to make them for each player. The discs will get abused regularly buy the kids not that it really matters.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm getting it slowly, but non-the-less starting to get a handle on burning backups.
I did managed to burn a backup of one of my daughter?s performances from a Sony mini dvd-rw 1.4 taken with our dvd camcorder to a Sony dvd-rw 4.7 on my first try using Decrypter last night. In addition we ordered a copy of Nero.
Thanks for the responses.
