Splitting big AVI file and burn as VCD

Hi, I am having difficulty in splitting big AVI files I download from net and burning as VCD. Can anyone recommend any free utility to split and encode it MPEG for burning as VCD. I was using some freeware for this, but all expired. Please advise. Also, if you have any free utility for converting from one format to another, please advise.

hi, you can have a try on winavi video converter. However, it is not a freeware!
By the way, you can download a try version of the winavi from http://www.winavi.com/video-converter.htm
