hi which method of writing is best for ps2 games

DAO-RAW
SAO-RAW

and what kind of dvd do i need to use for each write method + or - R

Just use a program like Dvd Decrypter or Alcohol %120. Make an image (.iso file) of your ps2 game onto your hdd, then burn it to dvdr.

As for + or - r's, that depends on which version ps2 you have.
-v1-3 only use -r's mostly.
-v4's all use -r's, but some can also play +r's
-v5-12 can all do either.

make sure you get some quality media like TDK, Phillips, or i have heard Verbatim works good too.
