well i didnt take into account for slim ps2.i have v7,and slims are built differently.how much different i dont know?but if you took off the ps2 cover then the cd tray cover, you have to plug the ps2 in for a sec then eject the tray, then unplug ps2.with the tray out of the way,you should be able to see a little white dial with a notch in it.if this is not the case then slims might have a different way to adjust the lens.let me know if you still cant find the dial.
if you do find this dial, you can take a small flathead srewdriver and put it in the notch of the dial to adjust.it moves in tiny little clicks.you would turn it clockwise(lower) or counterclockwise(higher).but dont go more than six clicks from the original position in either direction.major adjustment of lens wont help, just minor adjustment.and you leave the ps2 cover off and while you test the disc that is causing you the problem.you click twice one way then try the disc(remember to put cd tray cover back on when testing the disc)if you dont notice an improvemaent then click two more times then try.if you dont notice an improvement after six clicks then go back to original position(which should be six clicks back).then start adjusting in the oposite direction until you reach six clicks.you would start off by going counterclockwise(higher)then try clockwise(lower)somewhere along the way you should get that disc to read better.and thats the position you should leave it at.you can adjust by one clicks if you prefer but dont go past six clicks in either direction from the original position(it usually wont help to adjust that much).
