Stomp RecordNow Max 4.5
So far all the games I have backed up have been done on this program
The program tells you to put in a blank DVD for the DVD games and a blank CD when it comes to the CD games.

My question for anyone out there is if it's posible to burn the games which are too large like GT4 onto a dual layered disc?

Im running NEC 16x with 4x dual

hey man i know what you mean.do you have a sony vaio?i do and it came with drag n drop software that does the same thing.is your soft made by sonic solutions because mine is.anyway i was thinking about copying a dvd dl but i found out my burner is not a dl burner(plus the fact dvd dl blanks go for $10 a pop).shit, one bad burn and your out $20 if you try again.one more and you might as well go buy another original as your backup.but if your intent on doing it make sure your burner is dl.i couldnt tell you if it would work only way to find out is you trying it.most of the people on this site use DVD Decrypter or Nero.your only the second person i meet that uses a program like mine.and by the way if you start your own thread you might get more responses.title it something like "sonic recordnow and copying dl discs"

@rollexx
didnt mean to start a new discussion on your thread.by the way have you thought about adjusting the lens or anything i did to get my copies to work right or are you happy with what you got?

hi again!
I dont realy know how to adjust the lens...and if its to hard to do then i shouldnt do it...as i said my machine was chipped by professionals( a BIG game store in one of our main citys in sweden)
But if i dont have to take the machine apart i guess i could do it!
I realy doubt they missed out on adjusting the lens befor they sent the machine! But the PAL version of gta san andreas works almost 100% on my machine i did get one read error 2½ hour ingame! but it dissapeard almost directly when it was showed! so im not that worried! could try my other medias i dont know!..maybe i should for my lasers sake!? il se later today!
BTW its not my thread :)

cheers!

adjusting the lens requires you take off cover of ps2 and cover to cd tray.you have to adjust a dial that is above the lens.and it can take some time to get the dial at the right position.the benefit being you can get the optimal read position for your lens to read disc(especially dvdr).or you can get different media to work on your ps2 you just have to find the right combination of dvdrw drive and media.

hey another thing you can do is set your ps2 to read smooth texture when you use these problem disc.when you get to the systems config/browser screen on ps2 hit the tiangle button and select ps2 driver(triangle button again).then select texture with x button and select smooth.then boot up game.it gives you a better read on the disc but not much.

well i didnt take into account for slim ps2.i have v7,and slims are built differently.how much different i dont know?but if you took off the ps2 cover then the cd tray cover, you have to plug the ps2 in for a sec then eject the tray, then unplug ps2.with the tray out of the way,you should be able to see a little white dial with a notch in it.if this is not the case then slims might have a different way to adjust the lens.let me know if you still cant find the dial.

if you do find this dial, you can take a small flathead srewdriver and put it in the notch of the dial to adjust.it moves in tiny little clicks.you would turn it clockwise(lower) or counterclockwise(higher).but dont go more than six clicks from the original position in either direction.major adjustment of lens wont help, just minor adjustment.and you leave the ps2 cover off and while you test the disc that is causing you the problem.you click twice one way then try the disc(remember to put cd tray cover back on when testing the disc)if you dont notice an improvemaent then click two more times then try.if you dont notice an improvement after six clicks then go back to original position(which should be six clicks back).then start adjusting in the oposite direction until you reach six clicks.you would start off by going counterclockwise(higher)then try clockwise(lower)somewhere along the way you should get that disc to read better.and thats the position you should leave it at.you can adjust by one clicks if you prefer but dont go past six clicks in either direction from the original position(it usually wont help to adjust that much).

sorry but how do you know if your ps2 can take -R or +R. It says my ps2 is an SCPH-50001 and the driver is 1.11, and I previously used a maxell +R and Alcohol 120% and after it burned my console told me "Please put in a Playstation or Ps2 Format disk", and right now i'm burning a Verbatim DVD+RW on Alcohol. Will this work i must i use a -R?

you have a v10 and if anthing you should have more trouble reading dvd-r.your ps2 is very capable of reading dvd+r.

DO YOU HAVE A MODCHIP?you need a modchip or swap program to play backups on your ps2.
