I'm experiencing a frustrating problem with WinDVD Creator 2. The names of the chapters in this DVD I'm trying to make do not have the same appearance on the burned DVD as they do in the authoring stage. I want the text to be black and to contrast with the background.

Here's what it looks like in the authoring stage:

Even the "Author preview" function of the program shows that the text will appear black.

But, when I burn it to a disc, here's what happens:

I've even gone as far as changing the text color to pink and adding shadows to the text but it STILL is light grey in color and hard to read when burned to DVD.

Any idea what's going on here?!

Try changing the font, and if there's an option to use "anti-aliasing", do it.

I'd not received any replies until now. So you're having the same problem as I am, huh? Blows, doesn't it??!! I can't seem to find any info. about this online, either. Tell you what I ended up doing, though. I ended up just choosing a solid color for the background. I chose one that contrasted well with what the font color it's giving me. Do you know how to choose a solid color for your menu background? I'll help you out if you don't know, and are interested.

Hmmmm...I don't recall if I actually tried changing the font, itself. I'll have to give that a whirl and get back with you on that.

thanks for your help

I know how to choose a solid color for the background. However, my case is that I'm using an edited photo as background and its colors don't contrast well ... mmmm .... that's too bad.

Also, I think that your solution is ok, but it can't be possible that this software doesn't respect the appearance chosen by the user and finally it use the default text appearance.

if I'll contact you if I can get a solution

bye

My solution would be to stop using that software, and find one that does what you want.
Everything I author to dvd, I do in DVDLab Pro.
At least it has an anti-aliasing option ;)

PD:\Which version of DVDLab Pro are you using? .. Do you have a serial?

Pro 1.52 (1.51 with the .exe patch)
I can't legally give you a serial, but thanks for asking.
I have a guide to use it under username "reboot" at http://www.videohelp.com
