I used some cheap camcorder mini DVD's and now I want to burn them onto full size 4.7 DVD, but when I used dvdshrink I get this CRC error message. I've used several discs and several drives but continue to get this message. What can I do? These are important videos of my daughter birth and such!!

I'm completely new to all of this, so keep that in mind as your helping me with this. I've downloaded the divx to dvd software. When using this software and I select my 8cm dvd-r as the source drive, I'm given 3 folders to choose from. Do I run this software on all 3 of them? How long should this take for 1.4mb of video? I've been running it for about 20min and its only about 5% complete. The whole video is only 30min long! Am I doing something wrong? Sorry about my lack of knowledge of this whole process. I appreciate your help.

if you have Nero,give that a go if you are struggling,
it has detailed info on how to convert files over
nero vision express is what you need to use,
in which you can create title menus and everything

I think I should clarify that these are home video 8cm dvds that play fine in my home VCR/DVD combo player. I'm trying to copy multiple 1.7gb mini DVD-R's onto a single 4.7gb DVD-R.
I just got a wrong volume error while running the DivX to DVD software. And an error saying:
(access violation at address 0051144b in module "DivxToDVD.exe" read of address 00000020)
Is there somewhere that I can go to receive 1 on 1 on the phone support for this? These home videos are very important to me.

when I select my drive e:\[DVD_Camera] as the source drive with dvdshrink I'm given the following 3 folders
Menus->title menus->japanese->menu 1
Main movie-> title 1->title 2
extras->title 3
when I start the disc, Real Player tries to open it

you need to know what type of files they are
you said you tried them in dvixdvd,
but it was slow?
was you using anything else whilst the converting was taking place?
i.e the internet etc,??
if so shut it down,dont use anything whilst converting file,as it it takes up a lot of resources on the pc,
and depending on what spec it is,it can take forever,
converting files can be a slow process

put the disc in,click open,not play,just open
you dont need anything to open it,just click open
like suggested if dvixdvd can handle the files,maybe you will have to use that,but it does take forever!!!,unfortunatly there is no waya round it,you need to get these files to a format that can be burned to a dvd

but you are stuck with them for now,
just do the best you can with them,and next time buy some decent quality media,
and dont know too much about the different types of disc's for camcorders,but you could try asking in the dvd media section in this forum

ah......now i see.hehe
you should beable to burn these straight
you need to get them on the hardrive first,if DVD Shrink is giving you trouble,you may be in the shit,
have you got CloneDVD 2???
you can get the trial version fom slysoft,this will burn video TS folders for you,give it a go
lastly if the source is dodgy,(because you used cheap disc's)
the only thing i can suggest is trying isobuster to try and salvage the images(and i am not sure isobuster will handle those files???),but thats the last resort
give clonedvd2 a go
