Is there anyway to make a working copy of PlayStation 2 Dvd's so I don't have to use the original all the time?

best program to use is DVD Decrypter. burn slow, at 1x or 2x max, use good media

just use the search box at the top to check if there is any problems with the game you want to back up

your also goin to need someway have getting the game to run. a modchip, a fliptop with swap magic or a slide card with swap magic etc

I did scroll down and got Hatch Systems Corp. I downloaded their tutorial and was stopped at paragraph 4.3! The game I'm trying to archive is 5,189,920KB. I have the latest Plextor DVD Burner (dual layer) but still, no program available to compress data files. They said they would let me know when they find a solution to this challenge and update the tutorial without charge. Thanks for your guidance.

you need a modded PS2 to play the game and if the game is that large it gets a little complicated.
