Dvd drive can't play can't any type of cd or blank ones

I need help my dvd-rw drive cannot play a normal cd but it can play dvds and burn and read dvd-r/rws. When i put do put in a normal cd LED light on the drive keeps blinking. I opened windows media player to if it would play but when i'm about to click on the D: drive its says "Drive Busy". Its was playing all of them fine, it just happened recently.
Can somebody help me out.
